AIFS Foundation Scholarships
Robert F. Kennedy Scholars Abroad Program
We are pleased to announce the Robert F. Kennedy/AIFS Foundation Scholars Abroad Scholarship Program for 2011. This scholarship is sponsored by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights and the AIFS Foundation. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and promote international education for American high school aged youths with an interest in social justice.

Two students will receive scholarships of $5,000 each for use toward any recognized academic study abroad program sponsored by their school or private organizations. Minority candidates and students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for the scholarships, students must be in excellent academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher), have an interest in Social Justice, attend a public high school, and write an essay on the topic to be submitted along with their application. The application deadline is April 15, 2011.
A committee comprised of representatives from both the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights and the AIFS Foundation will select the winners of the scholarship.
