Through strategic partnerships, publications, public giving and international programs, AIFS Foundation supports academic and experiential cultural exchange opportunities.
The AIFS Foundation is particularly proud of the study abroad scholarships that are awarded to youth with financial need and limited access to international education from around the globe.
The AIFS Foundation annually awards grants to assist high schools across the U.S. to develop programs that increase international understanding to help students of this generation prepare for the imminent demands of globalization.
In addition to study abroad and career development guides, AIFS Foundation publications include reports on education and economic outlooks across world regions, international education, developing strategic international partnerships and global educational mobility.
Academic Year in America, an AIFS Foundation program, enriches schools and communities across the U.S. enabling students from overseas to attend American high schools. AYA works with the U.S. Department of State on two prestigious grant pragrams, the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) and Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programs.
The AIFS Foundation helps people from many nations and cultures gain global awareness and international competencies through firsthand, human interaction and opportunities for cultural exchange. The AIFS Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization established in 1967 with the assistance of the late Robert F. Kennedy.
